What you see

The road from Cusco crests the ridge and the valley opens below: the Urubamba winding along the floor, terraces climbing the slopes and, downstream, the first view of Pisac and its archaeological site on the mountain. The stop is for the view, not for walking.

Practical

Fifteen minutes, on flat ground beside the vehicle. No ticket of any kind. There are toilets. Light is best in the morning, which is when the Classic arrives.

Which tour, which time

Both Classic routes: 08:20–08:35, 40 minutes after leaving Cusco and 50 minutes before Pisac. The VIP routes do not stop here. The Classic tour.

A viewpoint stop: no ruins, no ticket, fifteen minutes for photos and a first look at the valley.

Why does the VIP skip it?
